1977 vintage Fender Stratocaster that was converted very early to a Schecter Strat. This guitar is the real deal, not a modern reproduction. This is the guitar model that Mark Knofler of Dire Straits made famous with his "out of phase" strat tone. The USA Schecter Electronic Research uncovered pickups and the series of one three way switch per pickup make 27 difference combinations possible vs. only five for a standard. This guitar has a very early vintage Schecter one layer, flat black pickguard with no cracks or warping. The neck is straight, slick and fast; there is virtually no fret wear and the finish on the neck is a nicely aged high gloss. There is some light belt rash on the back of the guitar. There isn't anything else of any significance on the guitar anywhere - its in awesome condition. Best of all, this is one of those Strats that feels perfect and seems to almost play itself - its playability is better than any of the Custom Shop Strats I have played. I have never seen another original Schecter Strat for sale; this may be your only chance to own a Schecter Strat.
